Quintagroup is pleased to announce the release version 0.2 of
Plone Google Sitemaps product. Plone Google Sitemaps product allows Plone websites to get better visibility for Google search engine by providing it with complete listing of URLs to website content.

What is Google Sitemaps?
Google Sitemaps program allow webmasters and site owners to feed it pages they'd like to have included in Google's web index. Participation is free. Inclusion isn't guaranteed, but Google's hoping the new system will help it better gather pages than traditional crawling alone allows. Feeds also let site owners indicate how often pages change or should be revisited.

Features
The Google Sitemaps XML format described at http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap/0.84/sitemap.xsd implemented. Not full spec but lastmod element added, that simplifies Google detection of changed pages.

Usage

1. Install as Zope product
2. Install in your Plone instance with QuickInstaller (Plone Control Panel -> Add/remove Products)
3. Go to https://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps and add http://your.site/google-sitemaps
