interview w/Paul Everitt and Ken Manheimer
I was very fortunate to meet Paul and Amos and others at the Digital Creations booth LinuxWorld in NYC, and was blown away by the planning and development going into Zope, especially at the metadata level. We librarians are always looking out for better tools for leveraging the power of standardized metadata systems, and Zope's moving in this direction as fast as anything else going, particularly in the new CMF. Paul and Ken (who both admit to being closet librarians) graciously agreed to an interview for oss4lib to help bring these new metadata developments to light for the community of fellow librarians interested in better metadata management. The interview is available here: http://oss4lib.org/readings/interview-everitt-manheimer-2001-03.php While it is largely geared to our metadata-happy community, perhaps others will find it a worthwhile read as well. Thanks to Paul and Ken's responsiveness and extensive examples it hopefully will help explain where Zope can help take us with content description and management among so many other applications.
