-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi there, I would like to inform you that I intent to retreat from the Zope 2 release manager position soon. I have been serving the Zope community in this position for almost seven years and now it is time to move on and hand over the responsibility to some other person. The reasons for stepping down are pretty easy: I am too busy with other things and I would like to shift my focus on other Zope-related projects but I will remain part of the Zope and Plone community. The Zope community has no official process for choosing a new release manager so I assume some volunteer has to speak up or someone may suggest a honorable person of the Zope community for the position. Andreas, you made more than great work ! Thanks a lot. Has the Zope Foundation any will of leading the process to choose a new release manager ? -- Godefroid Chapelle (aka __gotcha) http://bubblenet.be

Thanks for all your hard work for so long. I hope we can find someone as dedicated as you to continue this work. Cheers, Martin -- Author of `Professional Plone Development`, a book for developers who want to work with Plone. See http://martinaspeli.net/plone-book
Hi Andreas, I also want to join the list of people to thank you for your long-lasting and most valuable efforts. Having done a bunch of releases myself, I know that the title comes with lots of connotations as master bug fixer, fighter, etc. Thanks a lot for all you have done! Great job Andreas, thanks a lot. Best, -Simon

Speaking for the Zope Foundation I'd like to say thanks for your many years of great work handling those Zope 2 releases.
The Zope community has no official process for choosing a new release manager so I assume some volunteer has to speak up or someone may suggest a honorable person of the Zope community for the position.
At our Zope Foundation board meeting today we decided to facilitate the process of selecting release managers. We are using the the Plone Foundation as a model, they have a simple structure in place that works very well for them. jens -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.8 (Darwin) iEYEARECAAYFAktPg14ACgkQRAx5nvEhZLLfSgCfY7OkEiM87SjeHR7ww2TLPlv4 mzcAnjt/4Crv+flDMsU2/6mny2gseMQo =Ig6R -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----

A bit late to the conversation, but I just wanted to chime in with the others. Thank you for all of your hard work. I've only been the Plone release manager for just under a year and I can't begin to imagine doing this for 6 more. Eric
