Zope 2.12.0 beta 1 released
Hi there, I tagged and released Zope 2.12.0 beta 1 today (basically identical with the latest alpha but it includes ZODB 3.9.0 beta 1). I will cut an official 2.12 release branch at the time of the beta 2 release (except someone needs the trunk to be open for new developments). In general: the current trunk is closed for new features or other major changes until I cut the release branch. Ask on the zope-dev list if you are in doubt. The further release schedule basically depends on the ZODB release schedule since Zope 2.12.0 final will be released with ZODB 3.9.0 final. Andreas -- ZOPYX Ltd. & Co. Andreas, didn't you take care of your Subversion 1.6 vs. setuptools problem?!? If you are still out of reach of a decent machine, I'd be happy to jump in again and do a beta 2 today. Hanno

Fixed - I was on the wrong machine. Unfortunately I can't get SVN 1.5 get working on my Mac. Andreas

Macports seems to provide only 1.6 - I see no option for reverting to 1.5 with Macports. Andreas ZOPYX Ltd. & Co. The problem here is setuptools, not subversion. setuptools changes its behaviour based looking at internal datastructures for a specific source control system. You can't blame that on svn. Sure I can. That's two major released in a row they've made the client side data structure change... Not to mention the raft of other problems that have cropped up since 1.5 and haven't been fixed in 1.6 cheers, Chris -- Simplistix - Content Management, Zope & Python Consulting - http://www.simplistix.co.uk

This does not work if this version wasn't already built before and archived. Putting built versions into archive is switched off by default. To switch back from svn 1.6 I installed the binaries from http://svnbinaries.open.collab.net/servlets/ProjectDocumentList They which work fine here. I will cut a beta 2 release by tomorrow. Objections? Andreas

A couple of bugs have been fixed in ZODB, so it might be useful to get another ZODB release out first. http://svn.zope.org/ZODB/trunk/src/CHANGES.txt?view=markup Shane
