It isn't any more similar to Zope as to any other Web App solution. Lot's and lots of sites use session IDs in the URL path. Sessions in Zope are actually still in early development. I don't know of any sites that use session IDs in their hostname, which is a clever idea. The slashdot discussion has found at least two uses of the trick however.
