Hi, I was thinking a lot at the problem and finally posted draft of proposal on: http://dev.zope.org/Wikis/DevSite/Proposals/ObjectVariations It have to aid in solving different problems. The main problem which pushed me to create this proposal is internationalization of content (especially images). Then I tried to generalize the problem and the Proposal is the result.
