Re: [Zope-dev] <dtml-boundary> irritation
Chris Withers <chrisw@nipltd.com>:
Hi,
Does anyone have any idea when bugs [542] and [892] in the Collector are going to be resolved?
This is the problem that you can't use python expression of the attributes of the <dtml-boundary> file. As a result, all file attachments have to be given a fixed name. Which sux.
[892] even includes a patch and I've seen several questions about this in the list archives.
We are packaging up an alpha of 2.2 this week to address the "trojan horse" issue Brian posted about yesterday. I will look at the patch this morning, and get it onto a CVS branch if possible; we will then look at integrating it sometime during the "alpha" cycle (i.e., the next few weeks. Excellent... ...and thanks very much :-) I think that last email sounded a little pissed off, which I was, 'cos it's not a big thing but is very frustrating... I, and I'm sure I speak for most of the Zope community, really appreciate the efforts DC makes to get bug fixes done and out to people ASAP, three that spring to mind are: 1. The fix for standard_error_message 2. The fix for ZSQL methods in 2.1.6 3. The TreeTag.py fixes a while back ...and now this... Horrors of quarterly update releases with Notes and a service pack per coupla years with Microsoft stuff really do make you appreciate open source and the way DC works. cheers, Chris
