What changes did you make or where did you get them from? I'm a Zope user and don't know the internals. So I'd be very grateful for some help. If you could ellaborate on those 2-3 lines you apparently changed...
I'll check on my situation with -D and try your startup option! I'll post my results.
-- And for those following the "threading and prformance" track. I've tried if ProxyPass or Rewrite make any difference in threading behaviour - they dont!
