Hmm, have not seen this. I assume this error came from Zope (and not
external editor). What Zope/Python version and what type of object were
you trying to edit? Was there a traceback?

after upgrading  ExternalEditor to 0.3 I get this error.
Error Type: TypeError
Error Value: unsubscriptable object

when pressing the pencil behind the objects.
After Downgrading to 0.2 it's  again working
