Hi everybody,

Here's a quick writeup about me, what I do (commercial and community),
my work on the outgoing ZF board, and my work on the new board should I
get elected.

I've been part of the Zope community for over 10 years now. Most of you
will know me as a CMF core developer and its release manager, and from
my own Open Source packages like the LDAPUserFolder. Commercially, I
have my own small consulting business, specializing in Zope (2)
development, LDAP and systems/network design, setup and management.

I have been on the Zope Foundation board for a couple years now, last
year I took on the (unpopular) job of board secretary. I've also been
the main sysadmin for almost all of the Zope Foundation/zope.org services.

As board secretary I cleaned up membership and contributor management by
moving to a hosted CRM, with initial setup help from Rob Page. I've also
streamlined the board meeting minutes process so they are available on
time every time. I'm currently working on transferring all
foundation-related domain names to the foundation so we can manage them
ourselves.

For the upcoming board period we face a few new organizational
challenges which I would spend time on, such as devolving organizational
and administrative matters from Zope Corporation, which (thankfully)
handled them on the side for us for many years now. I've also signed up
to develop a simple process for selecting release managers for software
projects like Zope 2. Then I'm unhappy about the current
foundation.zope.org website, which is in need of a technical overhaul
and a clearer structure. At the same time I would continue to manage the
technical infrastructure like mail.zope.org.

With that said, I encourage everyone to exercise their right to
vote. High voter turnout helps create a strong Zope Foundation
board.
