Looks good, but for comparison, could you keep the previous rendering 
online?

This makes the buttons more clear, so that's an improvement.

One issue with this one is that the whole rendering only uses about 2/3s 
horizontal space of my browser window. The first (yellow) rendering has 
a more stretchy top bar.

I'd also suggest we keep the background of the actual text white and 
restrict the variant color to the sidebar.

Oh, I just noticed (or is this new?) the subtle cave painting effect on 
the top grey bar. Very nice!
