Hey,

Leonardo and Shane advocate a traversal option to solve Brandon's
problem that looks attractive to me. Then again, Brandon and Philipp's
discussion of being able to replace the root object also looks
attractive to me, especially in the face of Brandon's use of relational
databases.

Breaking with Grok tradition in doing one thing right and picking that,
hope we will end up doing both, in this case. :)

That is, for the default case where Grok is using the ZODB as its store,
we should have a configuration option in the admin UI where we can say
'you are now the root'. For advanced use cases where you really want to
make say "that's the site, and nothing else", especially for deployment
purposes, we should explore Brandon's option.

Making the grok admin UI a grok application that users can select, as
Shane suggests, sounds intriguing but I am not sure what it means. Could
you elaborate, Shane?

Regards,

Martijn
