While that would be fine with me, I also want to offer an alternative 
proposal. I have no preference for either scenario, just wanted to 
mention it.

I think it would be a reasonable approach to work with 
grokcore.component as-is at the Paris sprint. The code you'll write will 
most likely remain compatible after Philipp does his work. This is 
because the APIs are quite stable.
