Hi,
I tried Turbogears but failed to continue with it because I couldn't
find books except for one that doesn't suite beginners.
so, I tried Ruby On Rail and it was easier than
Turbogears but since I prefer Python on Ruby I contiued
searching for Python framework and discovered that there is
a very powerful content management system which has a lot
of already written application ,and that was Plone , which is based on a
very powerful Python framework called Zope.
Since I'm not a web developer yet interested in web
programming I discoverd that Plone, with some customization,
will fit my requirments the best and with Zope's help I can write
web applications and add it to Plone.
I read a beginners book about Plone and moved on to read about
Zope to find out that Zope is really very difficult for begginers
so I stopped.
By chance while I was searching the internet I dicoverd Grok.
Grok is 100% pythonic it's the easiest framework I have ever
tried!
As python, Grok is fun to use...!! I mean you feel that
you are having fun while you are programming, Grok tutorials are
very easy to follow which gave me the inthusiasim to go on with it.
You can "feel" the power of the underlying framework "Zope" when
using Grok and I hope for grok to gain the same success as
Plone.
Grok will need well written books and more tutorials .
Finally :jumping: I did my first simple web application using Grok it helps
in hydraulic calculation like sizing pipes and finding pressure loss
or friction.
