[Grok-dev] template association - suboptimal magic?

Yeah, that was my impression too, which is why I suggested the tweak 
that 'grok.template' has default behavior as it does now even when it's 
left out.

I'm +1 to the proposal if we have a default for missing grok.template() 
that behaves like it does now.
