Awesome, thanks everybody! Just yesterday when I gave a Grok course 
someone had a broken installation because they'd used Python 2.6 by 
mistake. Thanks to your efforts that should be an issue of the past soon..

I'll be trying some of my apps with 1.1a1 soon and report back any problems.
