Hmmm, strange indeed.  I had assumed it was a Windows issue.

This may be a tedious way to see the functionality but you could install
the OSHIP https://launchpad.net/oship/ trunk (see the installation
instructions here: http://www.oship.org/docs/linux ) 

Though I haven't documented that portion yet I can walk you through
first  seeing the catalog/indexes working and then describe the classes.
I need to do this for the app developers docs anyway. :-)
 
You may want to join the oship-dev team and mailing list since we have a
number of knowledgeable people there. https://launchpad.net/~oship-dev
even if you aren't interested in healthcare apps this might prove
helpful since it is a rather large project.
