Have a look at repoze.kiss[1], which sits atop the refactoring of the
Zope 2 ZPublisher (repoze.obob[2]), and uses it to apply Zope2
publishing semantics to objects served from the filesystem: The main
repoze site[3] runs using repoze.kiss, with content stored in SVN[4]:
