Unfortunately, RH screwed up their 6.1 install disks (twice), so you
need to be sure to go to http://www.redhat.com/errata and download new
install disk images, before proceeding with the upgrade. The one in the
box is no good. arrgh.
Also, note the Apache errata. You'll need that for the fixed apxs if
you're planning to use FCGI.

There is an upgrade path from RedHat 6.0 to RedHat 6.1. Just follow the
installation as if installing new. At one point, it will ask if you want to
install or upgrade. Choose upgrade. It will find the existing packages and get
the new version from the CD or wherever you are installing from.
In my experience it took a long time but otherwise was pretty painless.
