Just FYI: I created a little script for storing mails of the mailinglist
in a database. The whole message with subject, author, email and date is
stored and a word table referencing these messages. Thus it's similar to
udmsearch. 

I will now wait a little bit until the database is filled a little and
some bugs have shown up and after that I will start on a little product
for searching this database.

I think, ranking and some boolean search syntax should also possible as
it's with udmsearch also..

I will keep you informed and put it online as soon as it's working..
