Hi,
We are having problems running ZEO on windows. Has anyone tried this with
the latest Zope+ZEO? Here are the details, does anything come to mind?
- Windows 2000 (we have tried two different servers with the same results)
- Zope 2.3.1 and ZEO 1.0b
- Vanilla installation with default data.fs and no extra products.
- Two separate zope installations were made on the same server, one in
c:\_ZSS and the other in c:\_ZC
- We had put a copy of cpickle.pyd in the ZODB folder to get the ZSS to
start at all.
- If we start the ZC without a ZSS then the ZC just keeps looking for a ZSS
(which is ok).
- When we start the ZSS no messages are displayed.
- A few debug print messages were added but nothing substantial.
- Turned on the stupid logger with -d.
- When we start the ZC and the ZSS has already been started we get an
exception::
2001-05-07T23:25:40 ERROR(200) ZEO uncaptured python exception, closing
channel <ZEOConnection connected 127.0.0.1:3277 at b677c8>
(exceptions.TypeError:len() of unsized object
[C:\_ZSS\ZServer\medusa\asyncore.py|poll|83]
[C:\_ZSS\ZServer\medusa\asyncore.py|handle_read_event|335]
[C:\_ZSS\lib\python\ZEO\smac.py|handle_read|152]
[C:\_ZSS\lib\python\ZEO\StorageServer.py|message_input|264]
[C:\_ZSS\lib\python\ZEO\StorageServer.py|get_info|316])
Has anyone had similiar problems?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
