Andrew, if I may, I'd vote to keep SearchIndex in your distribution, and
if you agree, I'd like to write-up a part of the ZODB HOWTO that deals
with Indexes. My plan is to allow for enough documention so that indexes
can be useful in your distro. I'd be very happy if you agreed :-) Note
that the SearchIndex provided in your last release was an ancient version!

Will anybody at DC accept/reject the patches I provided for a
StandaloneSearchIndex? Or at least comment on them?
