First of all, ZEO is not limited to only serve one storage at a time.
In fact you can use numbers or names for the storages and serve them
thru the same connection to the clients.

You could write a wrapper script for custom_zodb :-)
So ZEO/start.py could use it.
But I think that mounting can be a little more complicated.
