I can't give you an unambiguous answer to the question.  ZC's official
position is that Zope 2.6.x requires Python 2.1.  However, many people
inside the company and out use Python 2.2 with Zope 2.6.

You might ask the following question on zope-dev: "What risks are
associated with running Zope 2.6.2 with Python 2.2.3?"
