Section 5.3 (BTrees Package) contains a lot of info.  This was recently
updated to cover some new features in ZODB 3.3, which is still in alpha
release.  So watch out for the parts tagged "new in ZODB 3.3" -- those won't
work as advertised in any version of ZODB 3.1 or 3.2.
