To get the product out the door quickly, the site is just loosely based
on PTK. We're thinking of this as a UI and workflow prototype --
although I haven't altered anything in PTK Base yet, I won't hesitate to
do so if it makes prototyping this site easier :-)

The members' data gets stored in objects written in Python in our own
separate Product.

I suppose this isn't really a "PTK site" in the sense that one of the
standard projected end-users of PTK could do it :-(

On the other hand, the "proper" version that comes after the prototype
will be better designed, and should motivate contributions to the PTK.
