This is a nice summary.
BTW, to clarify my original message: I don't think we necessarily want to
stop using base classes (like PortalContent) completely in favor of
Specialists. I agree with what you say about the current PTK may possible
flux into a default setup, and I agree that a quick and easy to install
starter portal is a great thing. I just think we should aim for having
portalish components function in a realm outside of a Portal object.
