[Zope-CMF] Uploading news items with FTP

The saga continues...

I would like to be able to upload news items with FTP, and, preferably,
have them show up in a pending state.  From what I've been able to find, I
should be able to toss in a couple of lines at the beginning of my file:

	Title: Here is the title
	Type: News Item

The title sticks, but I always get a document, not a news item.  I've tried
a number of variants on the theme, and have dug through the source some,
but remain clueless.  Can somebody please embarrass me and let me know what
I'm missing?
