Having just read a mail sent only slightly before your one, I think someone 
else may have answered your problem.

On the "Security" ZMI tab of your CMFSite, make sure that the 'Member'
role doesn't have 'Add portal content' or 'Modify portal content';

those permissions should be mapped only to 'Manager' and 'Owner'.


This is a bug in CMF 1.1.
