Sending an apology message for accidentally sending a message to a list
doubles the number of useless message to the list. So is it better to not
follow up to a message that was inadvertantly sent to a mailing list? The
first message may be confusing to some on the list. Sending a second message
just ends up wasting everyone's time. In either case the person who fogot to
look at the CC line ends up looking like an idiot.
Of course asking people on the a question in the followup just compounds the
problem because it will probably lead to a useless thead on the mailing list.
Oh well, at least I didn't say anything grossly embarassing in the first
message.
