I had put an 'up' and 'double up' link in the top bar, to help out with
this.  I had tried a tree in the actions box, but the thing about that is,
you need to make the tree 'absolute', always referring to the top of the
portal, so it's still not clear how where you are relates.  I suppose you
could make the leaf you're at highlighted in some way, but I thought it was
ugly looking so I dropped it before I got that far.
