FYI, I found this article (via Camworld) -
http://www.dru.ca/imc/open_pub.html - "Three Proposals for the Future of
Open Publishing". Seems they're facing many of the same questions as CMF,
for example - "Filtering and Editorial Process", and "Editing and
Revision" - and have some interesting ideas on how to handle them.

Mainly relevant to large systems with many editors, but some interesting
ideas for the workflow and revisions discussions.
