Replying to myself (with tongue firmly inserted in cheek!), from a newbie's
perspective -
Perl/PHP/ASP is like being given a pile of lambswool, a loom and a book on
weaving and being told to make your own clothes
Zope is like being taken to a clothing-store, being told everything is free,
but then finding all the clothes are in a big pile on the floor and half the
labels are missing ;-)
CMF is like going back to the store a week later and finding the labels have
been put back on and half the stuff has been arranged on shelves and hangers
:-)

Subject: OT : Zope/CMF Metaphors?
In the spirit of weekend irreverence - what's the best metaphor/analogy for
Zope and/or the CMF?
This thought was sparked by the "Linux is like pizza" piece -
http://www.linuxdevices.com/articles/AT6386593485.html - and the fact I've
foolishly volunteered to do several presentations in the next few months on
Zope and the CMF!
So, how do you explain the concepts to non-users?
Cheers, Jon
