method that is automatically inserted whenever a member is added, so that it
just contained

<dtml-var member_home_page>

...where "member_home_page" is a method in one of your skins folders (you
might want to create a new folder if there's lots of associated methods)?
Whatever code you put in "member_home_page" would then be used by every
member's page, but you'd only have to edit it in one place, if you need to
change it. Does that make sense?

I've done a similar thing, where a member's home page has side-boxes that
list their favorites and links.
