Hi
Just for your interest, a new site built with CMF has just gone live
http://www.gem.wa.gov.au
It is a little different to your usual CMF site. It is a more
traditional marketing website,
and the CMF actions/menus etc are only there for internal publishers.
It uses two zeo clients, one externally accessable in the DMZ which has
readonly access to the ZSS
(Zope Storage Server) and a ZEO client that is inside the network which
has read write access,
which is used by the authors.
It utilises two different skins , a graphically oriented one, and a text
only one.
Visitors can anonymously change their skin.
We used CMF and zope due to it's the ease with which developement can be
conducted
rapidly (once the learning hump has been climbed ;-), because it allowed
us to quickly provide
different behaviour for different media types, plus basic workflow for
publishers
(roll on document versioning that's the bit we need, so much that I may
have to build a
Document that manages just it's own versions for now) and easily skinned.
See ya
