I was trying to add them from the ZMI drop-down menu...and it does not
maintain the skin.
How can I use CMF add page? as i mentioned I am new with this and I do not
know about CMF add page...where is this functionality? Does it include
more links in the welcome page as Members, Search, etc?
And, in case of adding docs through the ZMI drop-down menu, is there any
possibility to maintain the skin when you press the link to go to the new
document? How?
Thanks a lot for all your help

so are you adding them from the CMF add page (not from the drop down menu)?
The skin is set by the methods in portal_skins/content by default and if
you
add the documents using the Plone/CMF interface (not using the ZMI
drop-down
menu), then you don't have to worry about the skin.
it doesnt reallly matter where in the site you put the documents.
