[type] is the Portal Type for the context on which your form is acting.
[action] (poor choice of names here) is the name of the zpt
Hope that helps.

SUBJECT: [Plone-developers] Plone 1.0 alpha 3: form validation
Hello zope-cmf users,
Can anybody explain me the next:
I use my own zpt pages with forms in folder inside Plone.
Can I use plone validation methods to validate my own forms?
For example:
- We have page add_client_form.zpt
- In portal_properties/form_properties we register new validator -
validate_add_client
What should I add in navigation_properties?
[type].[action].[status] = [next thing to do]
But my zpt page isn't a type(is it?).
What should I write instead [type] in my case? (Or I'm on a wrong way?)
Any help is very appreciated.
