[Zope-CMF] Skinning 1.2?

I'm starting to mess w/1.2 and notice that there are wild differences in 
skinning between 1.1 and 1.2, when I create a custom folder and copy 
from generic into my custom folder (changed properties to look in my 
custom folder first)
my edits to things like standard_html_header don't show up even after 
restarting zope (I also set the default skin to my custom one).

Thoughts?  Questions? Answers? Postulations on reality?
