I would not abuse acquisition for skin handling.
I would rather try to use request parameters or cookies.
I think, rewrite rules can add additional request parameters.
Not sure so, how this works for POST requests or when
there are already request parameters. You need to make a test.
If necessary, I would extend VHM to recognize request to set
cookies or request variables. See the "RemoteAddr" patch on
<http://www.dieter.handshake.de/pyprojects/zope>
for an example.
