[Zope-CMF] New objects don't get permissions

Hello,

I have a custom object I added to CMFDefault ( I know, I shouldn't do =
that
:) ... For some reason, when it gets created, it is world viewable, =
despite
it being "private".  The permissions for the private state ARE correct.

I can remedy this by going in and hitting "Update permissions" after =
the new
object gets created, the sets the private item AS private, and trying =
to
view it now redirects to the login form as expected.

What am I missing ?
