I wish that would work here. :(
We have a ton of content in DTML that we're migrating to CMF,
and it includes quite a few things like 

"For more information,
click <a href="http://<dtml-var VIRTUAL_HOST>/Blah/blech/<dtml-var subsection>"> here </a>

... and there's really no way to get rid of the need for the variables.
