[Zope-CMF] Best practice doing unit tests for CMF products?

You might want to take a look at the ZopeTestCase package
http://www.zope.org/Members/shh/ZopeTestCase
It is not particularly targeted at the CMF but complies with
both points you mention. Note that ZTC 0.5.0 only works with
Zope 2.5+. I hope to release 0.5.2 soon, which will fix Zope
2.4 compatibility among other things.
