[Zope-CMF] Implicitly Addable (global allow)

I'm wondering if anyone uses this toggle on products, and if so how?

We seem to get a lot of traffic about 'hiding' certain portal types 
from users, and there have been quite a few different methods 
suggested for implementation of a filter. In that vein, I'm 
wondering if anyone is toggling Implicitly Addable off, and adding 
these portal types via a method other than invokeFactory()?

Just formulating some thoughts here on the various options for 
'hiding' specific portal types from users, which by the way seems 
to be something CMF needs as default behavior going forward. Based 
on the subject traffic.
