I tried the CMF/Plone migration and all worked well in a test environment.
I then went to try it on my production (same version of everything) and the
member folders did not appear to copy over. I noticed the info in the
output below. I searched for and found user pages but their folders would
not show up in plone or the ZMI for administrator. I have rerun this
conversion several times trying to delete the members folder beforehand,
etc. The acl users moves over just fine. I then tried to copy the user
folders in members over by hand just to see what would happen and it copied
them over with the names 'copy of xxx' like there were already folders
there. Any ideas on what could be happening? Seems that Zope has moved the
data there but did not finish whatever it needs to do so that the folders
display even for administrator.

The folders are the tricky part. Try the migration.py script in
CMFPlone/Extensions. Follow the instructions from Sigve Tjora contained
within the file. Let me know if you have any questions - I just did this a
few weeks ago.

I am about ready to give up on plone- migrating from an existing CMF 1.3
site in production to plone that is. If I have to manually recreate the
folders and copy and paste the contents into each from the old cmf folders
it is too much work and I cannot believe this is the only way!? How does
one migrate the users over? A simple copy and paste in the ZMI is not
sufficient.
