This probably isn't an idea you want to hear, but what about creating
multiple LocalFS objects for your subdirectories instead of the root? Easy,
but possibly laborious.

On an unrelated note, this is a plain text list, and there are people who
will not read messages in HTML.

Subject: [Zope-CMF] Local File System.

Hi,

I have a local file system object to access files residing in a remote
server.
The file structure in the remote server is as given :
There is a root folder which has many subfolders and files.
A is the root folder.......
B, C, D, etc.....are subfolders which in turn have folders under them.

In my portal I have given links to all the subfolders and I want to block
the users from accessing the root folder. But they are able to view the root
through the Parent Directory link provided. I want to remove the Parent
Directory link when the users are accessing B, C, D, etc folders, though I
want the link to be shown when users move further down the folders. I tried
to compare the server path with a value and hide the link accordingly but
couldn't succeed. Please help. Thank you.

Regards,
Paul.
