[Zope-CMF] How to change default portal type

Hello,

I'm trying to figure out how to change the defalt portal type for files that are
ftp'ed to Zope.  Currently, the default portal type for all files being ftp'd up
is the "File" portal type.  How can I change things so that I can either:

1.  Change the default type on the fly or,

2.  Change it manually before doing mass uploads?
