[Zope-CMF] "Files" and "Portal Files"

I have migrated some content, including some binary files (Word, 
PowerPoint) from a wiki web into a CMF site. The binary docs don't show 
up in the CMF "Folder Contents" view b/c they're not "Portal Files". 
Are there any issues with registering "Files" as a portal type? It's not 
a huge deal, but would prefer that the content author manage the objects 
through the CMF, not the ZMI.
