[Zope-CMF] Switching from Folder to BTreeFolder2

Hello,

I have created a folderish portal tool - works like a charm :-)
Now I can see that it will contain a LOT of objects over time and I was 
thinking of optimizing it a bit by making it derive from BTreeFolder2 
instead of just Folder.

Now - is that a bad idea? (I can't think of any)

This may seem like a dumb question but it's better to be safe than sorry :-)
If I do make the change - will the existing object in my portal benefit 
from this ? Or do I need to delete it and create the tool again ?
