[Zope-CMF] Plone users email

Hi,
I have  Plone site working well.
know, i want to test the unicity of the email when
somebody register in the portal.
The register script uses the method
portal_registrtion.addMember which test if the user
exists.
Can it test if the email is allready in use? How can i
do this?
