[Zope-CMF] how can I change indexes to Date- or DateRangeIndex in CMF/Plone2

Hi,

I would like to change the indexes that deal with dates to either date 
or DateIndex or DateRangeIndex.

Can I just change the following indexes to DateIndex ?:

Date, end, start ?
created, modified ?

What do I have to do to use DateRangeIndex. for

effecive, expires ?
